About Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth's Centre of Online Learning
Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (DPU) was founded by the visionary Dr. D Y Patil, initially starting with the renowned Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre. With a focus on medical education and research, the institution quickly gained recognition as one of the best in the state and the country. Today, DPU comprises 10 institutions covering various fields such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, optometry, biotechnology, homoeopathy, ayurveda, online learning, and management. As a private, non-profit, self-financing organization, DPU is committed to serving society and has provided quality education to over 0.1 million individuals worldwide. Its graduates include doctors, dentists, nurses, optometrists, physiotherapists, biotechnologists, and management executives. Recognizing its excellence, DPU attained the status of a university under the UGC Act, 1956, through notifications issued by the Government of India and the University Grants Commission.
